OPERATION DEWORM every child you meet activities carried out at Amurri Divine Mercy Complex, Amurri as part of events marking and commemorating the International Women’s Day, 2025 put together by Amurri Divine Mercy Foundation in collaboration with Ugo’s Touch of Life Foundation and public spirited Doctors practising within and around Enugu
Cataract Surgery by Amurri Divine Mercy Foundation Enugu State, Nigeria.
As part of activities marking International Women’s Day, the Amurri Divine Mercy Foundation hosted a special medical outreach at its complex in Enugu. In collaboration with Ugo’s Touch of Life Foundation and a team of public-spirited medical doctors practising within and around the state, ten clients successfully underwent cataract surgery to the glory of God.
The initiative restored sight, renewed hope, and brought joy to families who had long awaited this opportunity. It was not just a medical intervention but also a celebration of compassion, service, and the power of partnership. The day highlighted the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving health and uplifting lives in the community.
Essential supplies to leper colonies
The Amurri Divine Mercy Foundation recently organised an outreach to leper colonies, bringing much-needed relief and support to communities that are often overlooked. Volunteers and team members delivered essential supplies including food, clean water, clothing, and basic medical items. The distribution was met with warmth and gratitude, as many families expressed how these provisions would ease their daily struggles.
Beyond the supplies, the visit created an atmosphere of compassion and solidarity. Conversations with residents reminded everyone present that dignity and hope can flourish when care is shared. The outreach not only provided material support but also strengthened the bond between the Foundation and the communities it serves. It was a day of kindness, service, and renewed commitment to humanity.
Clean Water Project (2012-2013)
Whilst visiting a leper colony in Amurri, Nigeria, Father Nicholas found there was a need for fresh water assistance to Amurri town and surrounds. The ministry came to claim responsibility for a bore to be sunk to provide clean drinking water.
